What good would it be to be able to store regardless of quantity and size but not to occupy much space or be visible? There are a few tricks in terms of storage space, some that you never thought about, others that may require furniture changes or adjustments by positioning the pieces.
Organizing your home can become tiring, but it can give you some creative ideas whether you start from scratch in a new home or choose to decorate the space you live in. Well thought out spaces makes use of the organization of the house and the products to be masked.
#1 The bed with ‘pockets’
These ‘underneath’ or side spaces will help you hide multiple blankets, bedding, thick jackets, fluffy pillows and maybe even thick towels kept for guests.
Anyway and whatever you put there, this is a space already known and trendy but also very practical when you release the thick sheets over winter.
If your bed has high legs, so it cannot be a drawer, you can put colored or vintage suitcases under the bed where you can easily store the necessary ones.
#2 Baskets and wall shelves
Classics, if they are simple and not too ’embellished’. Anyway, we like to have memories of holidays or childhood, things that are kept hidden in boxes in other houses. So we encourage you to take your memories out of the box and put them on the shelf. Be creative and install old-fashioned metal baskets on the hallway, stairs, or in the kitchen and you’ll see how many use roles you can find.
#3 Hooks and organizers for accessories
In the closet is either order or you will never find your favorites. Hooks or clips can come in handy when you have lots of bags, scarves, belts and even ties. They can be easily mounted with hooks on the hanger support, inside the doors or on the side walls of the cabinet, depending on the space. In the drawers you can always mount accessories, socks or other small personal items with the help of small organizers.
#4 Shoes under the ladder
Whether you choose to have the wooden staircase as a double drawer or metal stairs, you can store a lot of things under the stairs. Whatever you choose, it will always be a good idea.
This place is similar, depending on the space with a normal size hanger where both umbrellas and jackets for rainy weather take place. In this compartment you can add travel bags, tools but also boxes with old decorations, or other objects.
#5 Box for important documents
It is not advisable to leave it out, but if you do not have an office and you need to access the corner with documents daily there are metal boxes or colored envelopes where you can separate and organize the papers according to their type and use.
These can be mounted on one of the walls of the hall where you have bills or envelopes to quickly take with you at work.
#6 Support hanging behind the door
Inside a closet, you can always ‘hang’ sanitary and cleaning products, medicines, tools. In the bathroom, any two-door wardrobe becomes a useful space for storing cosmetics, soap, oils, bath salt, or candles. You can label the products to make it easy to differentiate the care products from the ones placed separately for the sanitary ware.
According to a study, Americans spend on average almost 150 hours a year searching for things that are lost in the house, so start by organizing the space that suits your needs when moving to a new home.
